ALL ABOUT ME:

Jeroen van de Wetering

I love empowering patients to understand their bodies and discover that the body has the ability to heal itself when presented with the opportunity. Through osteopathy, I help adults become pain free so that they can get back to the important things in life; family, friends, and good health. On my own time, I love to get outside, travel, and be surrounded by nature as much as I can.

I chose osteopathy because it forces me to reason, problem solve and explore the WHY behind the problem you are experiencing. Anyone can find disease, but the object of the practitioner should always be to find the cause. This is easier said than done. Osteopathy places this at the forefront of the mind's eye by exploring the relationship between structures and systems rather than exploring symptoms.

EXPERIENCE

My Qualifications

2015 - 2019

DFHP, BKIN, CFSS

I graduated Fitness and Health Promotion at Niagara College in 2017. In 2019, I graduated my Bachelor in Kinesiology with honours and went straight into the workforce. Shortly after graduation, I was introduced to Fascial Stretch Therapy and I have been working to improve my skills ever since.

2019 - 2021

INTEGRATIVE MOVEMENT THERAPIST, OAKVILLE

I established myself as the go-to trainer at a private gym. This was when I discovered my passion for using a combination of manual therapy along with functional movement patterns. I primarily worked with people who had knee pain, back pain, shoulder & neck issues as well as general weight loss.

January 2022 - PRESENT

FOUNDER, MARKHAM OSTEOPATHY

I currently treat many patients with a large variety of ailments ranging from muscular problems, fluid problems, problems relating to the organ systems and more. In 2023 I became a graduate of the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy in Hamilton (M.OMSc), where I continue to teach osteopathic principles while running my private practice in Markham.
